Ram Trucks Offer Customization Through Cab Options
Which Kind of Ram Truck Cab Should I Get on my Truck?
While most cars today offer various customization options throughout their many trim levels, not many vehicles have as much customization potential as a Ram truck, with so many choices available for seating, towing and overall capability. So depending on your needs, which kind of Ram truck cab should you get on your truck?
Does Cab Size Affect Towing Capability?
There are four different cab options available in Ram trucks that each offer their own benefits. These include the Regular Cab, Quad Cab, Crew Cab and Mega Cab.
- Regular Cab – Regular Cabs offer one row of seats for up to three passengers. However, with limiting the number of passengers in the truck allows for the maximum towing and payload capacity of the truck.
- Quad Cab – The Quad Cab option adds a second row that allows for up to six passengers. It is often seen as the best balance between comfort for passengers, while still offering great towing and payload capacities.
- Crew Cab – The Crew Cab also allows for six passengers, but sacrifices some capability to allow for more passenger room.
- Mega Cab – The Mega Cab offers the most amount of room for all six passengers throughout the cab options, while increasing the truck’s curb weight.
