Labor Day is almost here. Signaling the end of summer, many people will have Sept. 4, off work for the holiday, making the extended weekend a great way to cap off the summer. We wanted to offer a few suggestions for some fun things to do for Labor Day weekend 2017 in Winchester, VA.

Happy Labor Day to workersClose Out the Summer at James Charles Winery

The local James Charles Winery in Winchester is hosting a Close Out the Summer Labor Day celebration on Saturday, Sept. 2 from 2pm-6pm. The winery will first have food served via a BBQ food truck, with live music and more festivities starting at 3pm. Along with the live music and delicious food, the James Charles Winery will also be offering some of their wines to attendees of the free event.

Attend the Old Town Farmers Market

One of the most popular farmers markets in the area, the Old Town Farmers Market is open every Saturday for people to purchase fresh food and local goods. However, the Old Town Farmers Market only runs through the end of September, so Labor Day weekend is one of the last times this year you can visit the market.
