Now that spring is in full effect, people are able to get out of the house and truly enjoy the sunshine and warm weather. A perfect way to celebrate the warm months is with a fun festival paired with a cold and refreshing beverage. With plenty of people excited once again in 2019, the Of Ale and History Beer Festival in Middletown, VA, returns once again. Let’s look at what’s in store for this year’s festival.
The Of Ale and History Beer Festival is the longest running beer festival in Virginia, now celebrating its 24th year in 2019. This year’s event will offer more than 50 kinds of beer and local food from local vendors and will feature live music from Mojo Mothership and the Robbie Limon Band throughout.

The festival will take place on Saturday, May 11 from 11 am – 6 pm whether it rains or shines! Tickets will also be made available ahead of time for $25 for those there to drink, which includes a souvenir glass. These tickets will also be $30 at the gates. Those not there to drink can get in cheaper with a designated driver ticket, which will cost just $10. Of course, any kids 6 years old and younger will have free admission with a parent or guardian.
