Get Ready for fun at the Frederick County Fair

Here in the Shenandoah Valley area, there is always something fun and exciting going on at some point in time. As we continue to enjoy the warm summer weather, people in the community often look forward to festivals, fairs and more. For those who just can’t wait, the 2018 Frederick County Fair is back near Winchester, VA, at the end of the month. Let’s take a look at what the fair has in store this year! 

The Frederick County Fair will take place starting on July 30 at 4pm and is ending on August 4 at 10 pm. Along with the traditional fair mainstays such as great food, drinks and carnival rides, the Frederick County Fair will host exciting events such as a demolition derby, monster trucks, go-kart racing, truck and tractor pulls, pageants, various shows, petting zoo and livestock show, and even more! 

To prep for the big fair, the Board of Directors of the Frederick County Fair held an exciting art contest for the fair’s catalog, with big cash prizes being given to the winners. While prizes just went to the top 3 winners, all entries to the contest will be on display in the FFA building during the entire week of the fair.
