Ahh yes, spring is finally here. While the weather gets nicer as we get closer to the summer, springtime also means the return of the immensely popular Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival. Returning for its incredible 91st year, The Bloom is one of the most popular events of the year. Let’s take a look at what’s in store for the 2018 Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival in Winchester, VA.

Around this time, the area’s apple trees blossom to show beautiful pink and white flowers. In fact, apples are one of the area’s most important natural resources. Officially adopted back in 1924, the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival is one of the oldest celebrations in Virginia.

Taking place from April 26 – May 6, the festival usually draws a large crowd of up to 300,000 people during the span of the event. Each year, the festival also crowns a Grand Marshal and Miss Apple Blossom, as well as hosts plenty of fun events such as parades, fireworks, a 10K race, a car show and so much more.  

Celebrities at the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival 

In years past, plenty of celebrities attended and participated in the popular festival. For 2018, The Bloom is proud to host people such as former Miami Dolphins quarterback Dan Marino, best-selling author Jason Wright, former pro wrestler “The Million Dollar Man,” Ted DiBiase, along with many others.
