Follow these steps for Test Driving a Car

  1. Examine the exterior: This might almost seem too obvious, but for many people, they simply jump in the car and completely forget about checking out the vehicle exterior. Take a good look at the overall shape of the car. How about the color? Sometimes pictures online can look slightly different than in person, so make sure you are ok with the color.  Take in a view of the car up close, but also from a distance.
  2. Test out interior features and space: We promise, it’s almost time to drive. Until then, it’s important to make sure that the cabin of the car will fit your needs, and is comfortable. After all, folks spend a large amount of time sitting in their vehicle. You want it to feel right. Check out the controls for the driver’s seat. Make sure you can get it to a point that gives you a good amount of legroom and view of the road. How about the car tech? Does it have all the top features you are looking for?  Now move to the rear seats. If you will be driving kids around, check to see if there’s enough room, especially for car seats. And lastly, look at cargo and storage space. Will this vehicle handle your everyday needs?
  3. Drive the car: Now is finally the time! You’re comfortable and in your car, and now it’s time to make sure that you like the feel of the car. Every vehicle handles it differently. Some have touchier brakes Some have a fast acceleration. Make sure to go around back roads, highways, and roads that might not be particularly smooth.
