Key features of the Ford Co-Pilot360™

Almost every Ford vehicle today comes with some of the Ford Co-Pilot360™ features. This is especially helpful in case of distractions while on the road and to have a safe journey. So, what is Ford Co-Pilot360™? How does it work? Read this blog by CrossPointe Motor Cars in Winchester, VA to learn the key features of the Ford Co-Pilot360™ suite of features.

What features are available in the Ford Co-Pilot360™ suite?

The Ford Co-Pilot360™ suite of safety and driver-assist features comes with an array of features. These include-

BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with Cross Traffic Alert

This feature helps detect the vehicles in your blind spot and helps you easily switch lanes while driving. Along with this, it also helps detect traffic behind your car when it is in reverse, e.g.- in a driveway or parking spot.

Lane-Keeping System

This system uses a camera lens to scan the lane markings on both sides of your vehicle and help prevent drifting. This system has three different modes- the Lane-Keeping Aid, Lane-Keeping Alert, and the Driver Alert.

Adaptive Cruise Control

This feature lets the driver set a fixed cruising speed and distance from the vehicle ahead. And the vehicle automatically reduces its speed if the vehicle in front does and increases it back up again when the vehicle in front does. Additionally, adaptive cruise control with stop & go allows your vehicle to come to a complete stop when the vehicle in front does. A dashboard light turns on when this system is active.

Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking

This feature uses a camera to detect a potential collision with a vehicle or pedestrian directly in front of yours. It can help reduce the severity of, or even eliminate, a frontal collision.

Pro Trailer Backup Assist™

For this feature to work, you have to first enter some key measurements in your system and then the camera tracks your trailer’s position while you are trying to back up.
